Gordon Primary School is privileged to have a wonderful Library/Resource Centre. It is a large space that houses a collection of fiction and non-fiction books for students, as well as a Teacher Resource Collection. Students are welcome to borrow books for both class and home use. The walls boast several displays to encourage children to read as well as current events. There is a classroom area for teaching skills and a bank of Chromebooks for supporting teaching.
As part of the release program, students come to the library to learn how to find information as well as discovering books for reading. The use of Oliver (the library management system) is taught to assist the students becoming independent learners.
